Discovering The Truth About Plants

The Different Types Of Hydroponic Systems And Their Parts

Agriculture can be rated as one of the most popular activities which is carried out by many people directly in farms or indirectly when processing or manufacturing of various agricultural products. Agriculture in most countries is considered to be the main economic activity with various products that are grown being used for consumption or export. Most countries that are well established and developed have a good agricultural base that tends to meet the different needs of different individuals. Different economies can specialize in different forms of agriculture greatly depending on the available resources within the economy. Due to the fact that different plants grow in climatic conditions and soils that are very different, it is important to decide on the type of agricultural practices that we want to conduct. One of the most trending agricultural practices that has been adapted by most countries with the help of technology is hydroponics.

Hydroponics is generally a subset of hydroculture which involves the growing of plants using different mineral nutrient solutions that are found in water solvents without the use of soil. Various terrestrial plants may be grown with the their roots being exposed to the solution. The nutrients used in this agricultural practice are mainly from duck manure, normal nutrients or fish waste. Some of the basic parts that you will require in order to build the different hydroponic systems are growing chambers, reservoirs, submersible pump, simple timers, air pumps, delivery systems and grow lights. Water culture, ebb-flow, wick system, drip system, Nutrient Film Technique and Aeroponics are the main six types of Hydroponic systems.

Aeroponics are types of hydroponic systems where roots of different plants are stored in environments which are highly saturated with nutrients solutions in form of drops. Aeroponics does not need a substrate since it basically entails the growing of different plants while suspending their roots in different deep air or growth chambers. The main advantage of this process is excellent aeration.

Ebb-flow systems are mostly used when people are carrying different hydroponic activities back at home. Ebb-flow systems are easy to construct and they can be built with any material which might be found lying around. The drip system can be referred to as the most adopted hydroponic system which is used by numerous farmers. This is a very easy concept which requires very few parts yet it is effective and very versatile. Here people just drip nutrient solutions on different plant roots so as to keep the roots moist.

Hydroponics is a good agricultural practice used by different farmers in different economies. It is one of the most widely spread type of agriculture that basically uses different mineral nutrient solutions that emanate from water solutions.
