Importance Of OSHA Training. OSHA refers to Occupational Safety and Hazard Administration. Hazwoper training program is divided into nine sections each with dealing with the various ways to handle harmful substances. Some of the areas of coverage for hazwoper are lessons n decontamination and confined space entry. Hazard recognition, toxicology and emergency procedures are some of the other sections that are covered in the program. People working in industries that deal with hazardous materials are required to undergo annual trainings through the California hazardous waste training. It also applies to those whose actions or inactions may lead to noncompliance. California rules and regulations for hazardous waste are strict and attract heavy fines on noncompliance. When transporting hazardous material, it is a requirement to indicate with a label that they are dangerous.
